1 lb. ground elk
1 tsp. horseradish mustard or regular mustard
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. A1 steak sauce or soy sauce
½ tsp. garlic powder
1/3 cup fine bread crumbs
1 egg
1/4 onion, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Cheddar, Swiss or smoked mozzarella cheese
Small buns
Favorite barbeque sauce
Tomatoes
Pickles
Preheat grill. In a large bowl, add mustard, Worcestershire sauce, A1 steak sauce or soy sauce, garlic powder, bread crumbs, egg, minced onion, and salt and pepper to ground elk meat. Mix all ingredients by hand then form into small patties. Use a ¼ cup measuring cup to size how much meat to use when forming your patties.
Cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes then turn and cook for another 4 minutes. Add cheese to top of burgers during the last two minutes of cooking. Close lid to melt the cheese.
Place sliders on small buns and top with your favorite barbeque sauce, and tomatoes and/or pickles if desired. Enjoy!
